MORITZ STEFANER, INFORMATION VISUALISER

Moritz Stefaner works in the emerging field of information aesthetics, and researches about new forms of interactive visualizations on the crossraods of design, data visualization and aesthetics. His work has been exhibited at SIGGRAPH and ars electronica, and he was nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2010. Currently, he is working as a freelance information visualizer for clients like Skype or the World Economic Forum.

In his revisit project, he visualised see#5 tweets in real-time. As opposed to twitter walls used at conferences, this presents and highlights Twitter's chronological dynamic and dialogue aspect. Revisit uses all tweets with a certain keyword – the graphic then visualises the tweets in a more centralised, prominent, and colourful manner according to the attention they receive and networking in the form of retweets or @replies.
